Thrice Illustious Master - 1955

This is a Masonic piece, but a fairly obscure one.

This is a jewel that was given in recognition of service to a council of Royal and select Masters.
That is a cool name but this is even better...  This is a Past Thrice Illustrious Master jewel.

It is finely detailed and obviously well made.

It belonged to R. G. Holcomb of Webb Council No. 18 and was given in 1955.  Where was Webb Council?  Apparently Muscatine Iowa.

This jewel is 2.5" by 1.5" and weighs 8 grams.  It is 12k gold.
relative amount I paid for this - medium
As of 2/21/14 the gold scrap value works out to about $170.
However, none of these are for sale.
