Knights Pythias - Past Chancellor - 1925ish

This is a Knights Pythias Past Chancellor's Jewel

It has a nice title bar that was intended to be engraved with the owner's name.

The best I can figure is that this particular jewel was owned by someone named Esto.

But I am guessing on the name as Esto is the second or third person singular, future imperative of the verb sum.  So it is a direction to "be".  This could have been a spanish name maybe.  But to me this seems like the classic name Fido for a dog.  That name literally means "I am faithful".  That is sort of funny, and a good name for a dog.  But Esto would be a strange name - unless it was a diminutive or a nickname.

It is marked Sterling and Gold filled.

It is in the original case and the original box.  This would have come from the K.P. catalog.

This jewel is 3" by 2" and weighs 26 grams.  It is sterling and gold filled.

relative amount I paid for this - low

As of 3/3/14 the silver scrap value works out to about $19

However, none of these are for sale.
