Royal Neighbors - Past Oracle 1930s

This Jewel belonged to the Past Oracle of a Camp of the Royal Neighbors of America.  This was the ladies Auxiliary of the Modern Woodmen of America.

It is hand engraved and nicely enameled with a lot of detail.

When I collect these, I usually try to find the ones that belonged to the head of the various orders, as they are usually better made and more interesting.  This one would have belonged to the Past Oracle which is the head.

The rital of the order seems to be fairly guarded and from what I have read there is an annual password.  This is interesting to be in that other orders have gone through Exposees and have had their passwords divulged, only to just keep the same passwords anyhow.... sometimes for a hundred years or more.

This jewel is 2.25" by 1.2" and weighs 7 grams.  It is 10k gold.
