This is a Past President Jewel from the Maryland Masonic Research Society.
Some of these symbols, in enamel, are familiar to most fraternal groups. The lamp of scholarship in the bottom, and the latin phrase Fiat Lux - or - let there be light!
This Jewel belonged to J.E. Harding in 1991.
It was manufactured by the famous Toye and Kenning and is marked as sterling.
Very nice. It has the normal English construction of a stick pin on the back.
This jewel is 6" by 2" and weighs 22 grams. It is sterling.
relative amount I paid for this - low
As of 3/3/14 the silver scrap value works out to about $21
